Our beautiful costumes are custom made by Martha who can make each garment to your specific measurements.
All garments are done on an order basis and any and all costume requirements can be emailed to: bellycostumes@exclusivemail.co.za
Procedure
Take your measurements in cm as follows:
Hip – at the widest part of your hips
Waist – where you are going to wear your skirt / harem pants (most belly dance garments are worn below the navel)
Length – From where your skirt / harem pants is going to be worn in your waist down until your ankle. (please stand up straight when you measure your length to get the correct measurement)
The appropriate sections explain again the measurements needed for the specific garment you are interested in but the basic principle above on how to take your measurements remains the same.
Forward the measurements to me (bellycostumes@exclusivemail.co.za) with your choice of material for a quote and lead time. I will reply to you with a quote within 24 hours. If you accept my quotation a 50% deposit will be required upfront.
Once made, the 1 ½ circle skirts need to hang for minimum 2 weeks and a 2 circle skirt for a minimum of 4 weeks.
The skirts need to hang for these above mentioned times in order for it to settle. If we pin hems too soon it will hang uneven once it settles, therefore you have to meet me in order for me to pin the hem according to your curves.
Depending on how far you are traveling, I can cut and sew the hems and hand the completed skirt to you within a few hours.
I will then require the balance of the payment when you take possession of your completed product. I regret that I do not take cheques or credit cards at this stage.
